Our Programs

Physical Therapy

APT Healthcare’s Physical Therapy Program encompasses a wide range of treatment methods for injuries, conditions, and illnesses. APT’s Therapists focus not only on treating your condition and restoring pain-free function, but also on preventing future injuries from taking place through patient education. Our Physical Therapists perform hands-on manual therapy in conjunction with specific exercises for your condition. These exercises can include; stretching, strengthening, endurance, balance, and aerobics. The goal of each exercise will vary but are often designed to increase flexibility, reduce stress on joints, strengthen muscles, and/or mobilize joints. Our Therapists are focused on helping our patients achieve their goals to return to normal daily activities at home, work, and play and preventing future injury.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation

The APT Healthcare team works with individuals who have a wide variety of orthopedic related issues including soft tissue injuries or diseases, post-surgical cases including fractures, total hip /knee replacement, tendon or ligament repairs and other orthopedic surgeries. Under the direction of the referring physician, our team designs each treatment based on the physician's diagnosis and the specific needs of the patient. Conditions treated include, but are not limited to arthritis, fractures, tendon injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, crush injuries, and repetitive motion disorder. The scope of hand/occupational therapy services offered includes wound and scar management, edema control, pain control, the range of motion exercises, work hardening, work stimulation, strengthening, static and dynamic splint fabrication, and dexterity training among others.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

APT's vestibular rehabilitation program is designed to help people suffering from dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, and other inner ear disorders. Vestibular rehabilitation is a conservative, non-invasive, and drug-free option for combating dizziness and balance difficulties. A clinician will develop an individualized treatment plan that includes exercises to strengthen posture, gait, and components of the balance system (eyes, ears, and legs). A home exercise program may be designed specifically for the patient's tolerance, physical condition, and diagnosis. Approximately 90 percent of patients show levels of improvement from vestibular rehabilitation.

Women's Health Programs

APT Healthcare believes in caring for the whole person, both physically and emotionally. Our Women's Health Program was created to meet the special needs of women - on a behavioral, therapeutic, and holistic level. Our clinical team is specifically trained to effectively treat a variety of women's health issues including lymphedema, incontinence, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, and other conditions. Treatment plans are created to meet your individual and specialized needs and circumstances.

Industrial Rehabilitation

APT's Industrial Rehabilitation Services is a structured and goal-oriented program designed to help people identify work capacities, regain functional skills, and return to work after an injury. All our centers have capabilities to do FCEs and Work Hardening / Work Conditioning.

Functional Capacity Evaluations

APT's three to five-hour evaluation is designed to help determine a person's ability to safely function in their typical work environment. It evaluates strength, flexibility, and capacity to perform work tasks, such as lifting, carrying, kneeling and squatting, etc. In this way, the client and industrial rehabilitation team can determine an individual's current capabilities and develop a treatment plan to design a safe return to work.

Work Hardening Program

APT's Work Hardening is a target orientated program that uses a multi-dimensional approach to help the injured worker's safe return to work. It incorporates: checking and developing physical tolerance; regaining flexibility, mobility, and strength; and learning safer work techniques; among other things.

Chiropractic Care

APT’s Chiropractic Care is a holistic treatment approach that reduces pain, improves range of motion, and enhances your body’s ability to heal itself. A chiropractor uses gentle pressure to correct subluxations to restore alignment in the spine, restore balance in the nervous system, and restore symmetry in the body. Chiropractic Care is a powerful treatment synergy alongside of traditional rehab services to promote recovery, restore function, and promote overall health.

Aquatic Therapy

APT’s Aquatic Therapy Program is a form of physical therapy performed in a warm water environment such as a pool or hydroworx unit. Aquatic Therapy facilitates, stretching and strengthening exercises, standing, walking, squatting, and various movements without the full weight-bearing impact. In addition, the buoyance and hydrostatic pressure of water reduces swelling, pressure, and pain on injured joints and muscles. Aquatic Therapy has shown to decrease healing time for most injuries.
